Cannon's Couple Baby Shower Weekend in Granbury!!!

Yesterday we had a couple's shower for our little man and it went fabulous! We had about 50 people (give or take a few) attend our shower, all close family or friends, unfortunately some very important family members were not able to make due to bad weather conditions. Cannon's (Abby, Pop, Aunt Jen, Uncle Matt, Aunt Jana, Uncle Philip, and Cousins - Julia, Josh, Kamryn, and Mason) couldn't make due to the terrible weather conditions that happened in their area a day before the shower, we missed them so much but would much rather them be safe then travel in such bad weather! Of course, like anything else last minute circumstances came up for a few of our other close friends but they were there in spirit, even though we missed them terribly also!

All of the hostesses did such a great job and worked super hard to make it a very special day for the three of us! From the decor, food, cake, location, and guests - everything was perfect and much appreciated! We had a great time of fun and fellowship with amazing family and friends that are so excited for Cannon's arrival - he is so loved already! We received so many gifts that we are so thankful for! All of Cannon's big items -such as his custom bedding, rocking chair for his room, car seat & stroller, bouncer, & video/camera monitor - were all purchased as gifts, along with some much needed essential items - diapers and diaper gear, bath gear, clothes, boppy, bumbo, toys, bottles, paci's, books, dvd's, room decor and much, much more! As you can see by the pics posted we received so many cool and cute baby gear that we are still in the process of organizing and putting it all away! Unfortunately we forgot to start taking pics at the shower until after the food was mostly eaten, the gifts were opened, the guests were cleared out, and the decor was taken down - so I decided to take some pics of what I could after we got home, so I guess somethings better than nothing right?!?

The month of February is going to be a whirl wind for us - next weekend we are attending our birthing class at the hospital, the weekend after maternity pics, the weekend after girl's shower in Houston, and then the weekend after that I'll be 36 weeks so no more traveling and then just for more weeks to go until his scheduled debute! Now it's time to start putting everything together - 7 weeks is really not too much longer! I'll be sure to post pics of the progress of his nursery as we go along, I can't wait to see the final outcome - it's going to be adorable!

We had a really awesome weekend with family and friends, we miss everyone that left already! We are thankful for everyone that is in our lives and that will soon play a very important life in Cannon's life, he is already so lucky and loved! We appreciate everyone's kindness and generosity and feel very blessed to have you all as a part of our lives!
